About Lebanon's Winter Wonderland

Horner Park is a 58-acre recreational park located at 11109 Widicus Road, Lebanon, Illinois. It is estimated that Horner Park will attract more than 10,000 visitors each year LWW is in operation.

Plans are to have the holiday display every year from around the third weekend in November through December 27th. Opening day is in sync with the yearly Victorian Holiday Celebration - downtown Lebanon.

Our initial 3-year plan (originated in 2008) is to change Horner Park's roadways, buildings and landscaping into a beautiful winter wonderland with more than 100,000 lights illuminating over 100 trees and our one-acre lake.

Vehicles enter Horner Park's main gate and travel through 1.2 miles of roadway to view spectacular holiday displays including but not limited to various depictions of Santa, snowmen, a gingerbread village, a Victorian village, Nativity scenes, candy canes and reindeer. We are also planning area's which will be a tribute to our military, public servants and farmers. Landscaping designs will also host beautiful professional light scenes to delight the whole family.

The Horner Park Winter Wonderland is an enormous community wide event complimenting Lebanon's historic downtown, which specializes in antique stores and characterized by a classic Victorian style.

The Winter Wonderland is modeled after other successful light shows including The Shrine of our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, Illinois; Christmas Wonderland, Rock Springs Park, Alton, Illinois and Tillis Park, St Louis, Missouri.

Winter Wonderland enhances the image of Lebanon and surrounding communities in the eyes of the residents, businesses, volunteers, visitors and governmental officials by encouraging tourism. Lebanon is located at the cross roads of Highway 4 and Highway 50, within 5 miles from Interstate 64 on the south and 7 miles from Interstate 70 on the north and only 23 miles from St. Louis, Missouri. Visitors during our light show will see our charming downtown lit in Victorian holiday lights and beautiful old homes in the area. Lebanon has excellent growth potential and new housing is being built both north and south of town.
