Horner Park wishes to invite your business to become a Winter Wonderland Special Light Display Sponsor. The Gold and Silver levels are multi year partnerships.

Event Concept
|
Horner Park is a 58-acre recreational park located at 11109 Widicus Road, Lebanon, Illinois. It is estimated that Horner Park will attract more than 10,000 visitors during its first year in operation. Plans are to have the holiday display this year from November 21, 2008 to December 27, 2008. The Winter Wonderland Special Light Display will become a yearly event.

With our 3-year plan Horner Park’s roadway, buildings and landscaping will become a beautiful winter wonderland with more than 100,000 lights illuminating over 100 trees and a one-acre lake.
Vehicles will enter Horner Park’s main gate and travel through 1.2 miles of roadway to view spectacular holiday displays including but not limited to Santa’s, snowmen, gingerbread village, Victorian village, Nativity scenes, candy canes and reindeer. We are also planning area’s which will be a tribute to military, public servants and farmers. Landscaping designs will also host beautiful professional light scenes to delight the whole family.

Event Rationale
|
The Horner Park Winter Wonderland will be an enormous community wide event complimenting Lebanon’s historic downtown, which specializes in antique stores and characterized by a classic Victorian style.
The Winter Wonderland will be modeled after other successful light shows including The Shrine of our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, Illinois; Christmas Wonderland, Rock Springs Park, Alton, Illinois and Tillis Park, St Louis, Missouri.
Winter Wonderland will enhance the image of Lebanon and surrounding communities in the eyes of the residents, businesses, volunteers, visitors and governmental officials by encouraging tourism. Lebanon is located at the cross roads of Highway 4 and Highway 50, within 5 miles from Interstate 64 on the south and 7 miles from Interstate 70 on the north and only 23 miles from St. Louis, Missouri. Visitors during our light show will see our charming downtown lit in Victorian holiday lights and beautiful old homes in the area. Lebanon has excellent growth potential and new housing is being built both north and south of town. |

Company Requirements
|
- Payment as arranged with Horner Park Board’s Christmas in the Park Committee
- Provide approved camera ready advertisements necessary for the Winter Wonderland program by August 1, 2008
- Company advertisement for www.hornerparklights.com web page as soon as possible
- If in-kind support provided, an itemized print-out of actual costs should be provided to Christmas in the Park committee for your tax deductible records and to show sponsorship level.
We will make every effort to conserve energy in our attempts to decorate Horner Park. We will use only LED exterior lighting where available. Most outside lights now have the option to convert to LED. Although more costly than regular lighting, the cost of electricity usage will be approximately 85% lower than regular lighting. We feel that conservation is an important issue and will make all attempts to lower our electrical usage where possible.
